Who We Are
Hey there!
I’m Aaron Rothke, thanks for visiting Happy Hour Liquor. I had my first drink at 8 days old. I’m from Chicago but got my undergrad and masters in the UK. And have lived in Lexington since 2001 and love it here.
I first got into drinking in college with wheat beers, then started gravitating to tequila and cocktails. Tequila brought me to bourbon, and we are blessed here in Kentucky. The beautiful thing about alcohol is taste profiles vary greatly, just like people vary greatly, and there is a drink for every taste profile. The way you like to drink your drink of choice is the right way to drink it.

“This is an excellent spot for brunch. It won’t be quiet but it will be delicious! The starters and entrees are generously sized, varied in choice, and taste absolutely fantastic. Shantell was our fantastic and oh so capable server. She had great suggestions on menu favorites and had amazing energy. She gave us a lot of attention and was just fun to be around. This is a hype, fun, and adult brunch. You will leave full, happy, and probably drunk.”
